Save money and energy
Why ALPINA metal foil blinds save your money!
Metallized film blinds are sputtered on the outer surface, practically indestructable and reflect up to 85% of the incoming solar energy to prevent a heating of the room. Sunbeams are short-wave, that means they are cold and turn not to long-wave heat, until they hit on matter. So when the solar energy is reflected back behind the window, the room cannot heat up. No self-sufficent sun protection system has an influence on the secondary heat (Body, computer, absorption, k-value of your building and so on), that is generated in the room. The opposite effect happens during winter!
Warning! Self-proclaimed defenders of the sun argue in front of customers that the produced heat between the film and the glass could lead to a breakage of the glass and disqualify themselves with that! The fact is: Whoever has occupied himself a little with solar physics knows that through constructional singularities of our systems, convection occurs automatically and therefore the glass can definitely not break! Thousands of installed metallized film blinds worldwide speak for themselves! |

Relaxed working without glare
Is it cold outside? Make sure that the film blinds are completely closed. This will save the all morning heat up, because the room loses much less heat, due to the 'open components' (K-value amelioration up to 25%). By day they allow enough daylight, so that you can switch off most of the expensive light sources. That's how you save expensive energy and thereby care for the environment! |

Work glare-free
The german economy loses approximately 2.4 milliard euro a year, because of wrong workplace ergonomics. The major part: Wrong or no glare protection at all! During a 7.5 hour day the eyes move ca. 1.200 times to the window to relax and the eyelids move ca. 35.000 times due to the screen stress. In the conservatory the extreme glare is daily occurence, especially at the time from autumn to spring, when the sun is low. This means hard work for the eyes and the brain! |

Light and shadow
Architects, doctors, scientists and work ergonomists have developed the EU-wide standard for workstations. We will not bore you with laws and regulations - you can look them up on the internet.
Only so much: The "magic word" is: LIGHT DENSITY |
|
This pays off during summer and winter:The average costs for the most recent high-quality glare and heat protection are generally lower, per installation/screenuser, than the emerging labour costs for sick or absent days. ALPINA glare and heat protection systems match to 100% the corresponding german and EU-wide laws and regulations. (Testings of the federal agency for labour protection and job safety as well as of the BDI are available.) |

Facts that are really relevant...
Light-dark-schemeNothing is more damaging to your eye and its recovery than the still applied light-dark-scheme through vertical and horizontal slats. |

Costs / BenefitsWhen it comes to your health, you shouldn't accept compromises! The most expensive is not always the best - certainly an old wisdom - but here it is true. UV-reduction to < 1%, protection against radiowaves, complying of legal regulations, no maintenance or following costs, wheather independent, innovative technology. |

Why metallized film blinds?
Metallized film blinds are generally not just equal to conventional systems, but mainly superior. The mostly 3-layer film (Supporting layer polyester, exterior side aluminium sputtering, interior side layer of paint) are laminated: The result is a daylight filter. The highly reflecting, aluminium sputtering exterior side reflects the incoming solar energy (330 to ca. 2.500nm = short-wave) unchanged through the glass. With that up to 96% (depending on the type of foil) of the solar energy cannot develop additional heat in the room. |

Do you remember your last physic lessons?Generally it is assumed that glass allows the solar heat to enter - but prevents it from going out. This "half" knowledge is used by many self-proclaimed defenders of the sun to sell their products. Short-wave -cold- heat radiation can penetrate the glass almost unhindered. The reflector in our ALPINA blinds mounted behind the glass makes sure that the cold heat radiation can't change at all into long-waved radiation (and with that heat efficient). When installed by an expert convection and constructional features make sure that glass breakage is not possible.
Ideal glare protection guaranteedDue to the diamond shaped calender embossing of the laminated film that we practise, the incoming light (sun) beams are refracted x-times - glare is impossible, but the light sources are maintained! But this is far from being everything: The millimetre accurate installation of the blinds ensures that compared to the most outside installations, you will never have annoying light slits or lateral entering daylight, when the system is correctly operated. ALPINA blinds are fitted precisely to the window and the lateral guides prevent the annoying and sometimes very dangerous lateral radiation to enter. That way glare has no chance! What else you should know:The films that we use are max. 75 µ (= 0,075 mm) thick. This allows delicate, nicely shaped enclosures in RAL-colours that best suit your windows. The installation takes place on top or between the window frames and the functions of the windows will always be maintained! |
